Geography and Locality: the Shabarakh Usu (Bayn Dzak) and Ukhaa Tolgod localities, in Omnogov, Mongolia, and Bayan Mandahu, in Nei Monggol Zizhiqu, People's Republic of China.
Age: late Cenonian to early Campanian?. [lack of correlative marine or volcanic strata prevents accurate dating, but fauna analysis supports an older age than the Barun Goyot (which underlies the Nemegt) and the Judith River Wedge (Jerzyciewicz et al., 1993).]
Refered specimens:
AMNH 6508: nest of eggs (Osborn, 1924b). [originally refered to Protoceratops (see Osborn, 1924b; Norell et al., 1994).
IGM 100/36: partial skeleton, lacking skull (Barsbold, 1981).
IGM 100/42: complete skull with partial postcrania (Barsbold, 1981).
IGM 100/971: nearly complete skeleton and partial skull of embryo with shell fragment (Norell et al., 1994).
